An exterior aluminum door shoe with an integral drip sits above an aluminum door threshold set on an exterior concrete slab. Scheduled floor covering transitions to the threshold with a maximum one-half inch clearance. A one-inch fiber expansion joint separates the concrete slab sections directly beneath the threshold.
