A cold-formed metal stud wall supports a ceiling joist bearing directly onto a continuous top track. The ceiling joist is secured with two number eight screws at each joist. Three and five-eighths inch by eighteen gauge ceiling ties are fastened with one number eight screw at each joist. Metal studs and ceiling joists are sized per the schedule. Two number eight screws secure each stud to the top track, and two number eight screws are provided at each blocking.
