Pre-finished aluminum composite metal panels install over exterior sheathing and framing per plans, backed by a high-temperature weather-resistive barrier. A nine-inch self-adhered flashing laps over a six-inch self-adhered flashing at the window head to maintain continuous weatherproofing. A pre-finished aluminum flashing matches the metal panel above the aluminum window system mullion. Backer rod and sealant seal the joint between the flashing and the window mullion, with shims provided as required.
