The folding glass door sill rests atop a recessed concrete slab on grade, incorporating a ten gauge anodized aluminum closure color-matched to the adjacent curtainwall. Two inches of expanded polystyrene Neopore rigid insulation is adhered over damproofing against the foundation wall, requiring verification of damproofing compatibility with the insulation. Drainage is managed by locating and drilling weep holes according to the manufacturer specifications with drain tubes installed at each hole. The adjacent slab slopes away from the opening according to the civil grading and drainage plan.
