A gypsum board soffit pocket with a depth of two feet ten inches is framed with typical sixteen-gauge metal tracks and finished with five-eighths-inch gypsum board applied to both sides. In-wall blocking is added to support the A/V contractor's screen mounted within the assembly. The soffit returns beyond to meet an acoustic ceiling tile system, with a window jamb located further past the frame. Additional information for the adjacent exterior opening is referenced on another sheet.
