Two adjacent plywood sheathing panels meet over a wood nailer secured to the top chord of a double-angle steel joist. The left panel is five-eighths inch plywood and the right panel is one-half inch plywood shimmed with one-eighth inch plywood. Fastening requires two and one-eighth inch long nails on both sides. A one-eighth inch plywood shim is nailed with ten-penny nails at twelve inches on center.
