The cold-rolled steel tee or angle shelf upright connects to a base bracket secured directly to a concrete slab on grade. Each shelf leg is anchored using a three-eighths-inch diameter by three and a half-inch Hilti HUS-EZ screw anchor requiring a minimum embed length of three and a quarter inches. The installation specifies a maximum torque of eighteen foot-pounds and a minimum distance of twelve inches from the concrete edge.
