An interior metal stud partition frames against an existing brick masonry wall containing an infilled door opening. The assembly features a 4-inch metal stud backed by a steel strongback sized per structural drawings. A 7/8-inch metal channel secures the framing layers, which include 5/8-inch plywood and batt insulation within the stud cavity.
