Cold-formed steel framing details show joist connections to bearing walls for exterior and interior conditions. The exterior end condition requires a piece of stud of the same gauge as the joist, connected with four number 12 by 3/4 inch screws to the joist, bearing on a track and bearing wall sized per plan or schedule with a minimum 1-1/2 inch bearing. The interior condition features a closure track with a piece of joist of the same gauge as the joists and 8 inches long, fastened with four number 12 by 3/4 inch screws, bearing on a track and bearing wall with a minimum 3-1/2 inch bearing.
