A prefabricated glass fiber reinforced gypsum access door and frame are set flush within a gypsum board ceiling assembly. The surrounding gypsum board is attached to double ceiling joists with number ten screws on all four sides per manufacturer specified locations. The surrounding joints are taped, filled, sanded, and finished on all sides to create a seamless flush appearance with the ceiling plane.
