A metal panel exterior wall assembly meets an expansion joint at a concrete floor slab edge. A steel beam supports the concrete floor slab, which features a bent plate and a sealant with a backer rod at the expansion joint. The metal stud framing wall assembly includes exterior sheathing, a weather-resistant barrier with a six-inch minimum lap, and metal panels. Batt insulation and gypsum board finish are scheduled for future installation by the tenant. The vertical gap from the metal stud framing to the face is maintained at two and one-half inches.
