An exterior hollow metal door frame is set into a concrete masonry unit masonry wall partition. The hollow metal frame is fully grout filled and anchored to the masonry jamb via wire masonry anchors. Continuous elastomeric paint is applied to the exterior masonry wall surface. Continuous sealant and backer rod are installed on both sides of the frame-to-masonry joint. An interior furring partition with insulation abuts the masonry wall.
