A 1 1/4-inch outside diameter steel tube handrail is mounted to a wall using a flat bar handrail standoff welded or secured to a flat bar handrail extension. The assembly connects to a flat bar attachment plate fastened to the wall finish per plans, maintaining a minimum 1 1/2-inch clearance from the wall surface. The flat bar attachment plate measures 5 inches in length with a 2-inch bolt spacing and 1-inch edge distances.
