A call button or hall lantern box penetrates a scheduled partition built with a one-inch gypsum liner panel. A one-inch gypsum liner box protection is installed behind the box where face panels are cut and removed. A twenty-two gauge steel strip measuring a minimum of six inches by twelve inches reinforces the penetration assembly.
