An exterior concrete walkway assembly is supported by a 4-inch aggregate base course over a compacted subgrade. The slab consists of a 4-inch Portland cement concrete layer reinforced with 6x6-W1.4xW1.4 epoxy-coated welded wire reinforcement. Contraction joints are tooled into the surface at regular intervals, and full-depth expansion joints are incorporated per project specifications with spacing defined on sheet HRC-CS-102.
