An aluminum storefront system features a door jamb, intermediate mullion, and sidelight jamb anchored adjacent to an exterior plaster wall. The door jamb incorporates a hollow structural section post measuring 5 inches by 5 inches by three-eighths of an inch thick, wrapped in an aluminum breakshape and secured with continuous sealant and backer rod on typical joints. The intermediate mullion provides intermediate glass framing, while the sidelight jamb connects to the exterior wall assembly comprising seven-eighths-inch exterior plaster finish, building wrap, flashing membrane around the opening under and over a galvanized plaster stop J-mold with an extended leg, and insulated glazing units throughout.
