A 1 1/4-inch diameter standard pipe handrail is mounted to a partition per wall type using a wall plate. The handrail projects 1 1/2 inches from the wall surface and is positioned 2 feet 10 inches above the stair tread nose. The stair tread connects to the stair stringer adjacent to the partition wall assembly.
