A pipe penetration passes through the roof assembly with sealant applied between the pipe and a prefabricated membrane flashing. A stainless steel clamp ring secures the flashing to the pipe penetration. Sealant is installed around the base of the flashing and the pipe. This condition is similar at electrical conduit penetrations and at rails for rooftop mechanical units.
