The assembly maintains a 4-inch clear distance from the wall and extends with an overall width clearance between 16 inches and 16 1/4 inches. The top rungs extend a minimum of 3 feet 6 inches above the finished floor level, while the bottom of the ladder sits 1 foot above the pit floor, with total height varying as required.
