A metal pipe penetrates a six-inch gypsum board and metal stud partition scheduled for a maximum one-hour rating under UL W-L-1133 or equivalent. The pipe is wrapped with UL-complying fiberglass pipe insulation up to two inches thick, complete with an all-service jacket. An annular space is sealed with six inches of fire-rated sealant at the partition opening per the rated assembly.
