A one-hundred-millimeter diameter or smaller pipe or conduit passes through a one-hour rated wall assembly. The annular space contains seventy-five-millimeter thick mineral wool insulation firmly packed into the opening to accommodate the fill material. A minimum sixteen-millimeter sealant is applied flush with both sides of the wall, featuring an additional twenty-five-millimeter minimum crown around the penetrating pipe. The installation complies with Underwriters Laboratories system number W-L-1068 for a one-hour fire rating.
