A hollow metal frame is set into a cast-in-place concrete wall and secured with post-installation anchors. Mineral wool blanket insulation packs the space between the frame and the concrete substrate. Continuous fire-acoustical sealant joints seal both sides of the frame against the concrete wall faces. The door frame is positioned with a maximum distance of eight inches from the face of the door to the face of the wall.
