This stair railing transition assembly features a 1-1/4 inch nominal pipe size Schedule 40 minimum steel pipe handrail supported by 5/8 inch diameter steel bar support brackets at each vertical post. The 1-1/4 inch nominal diameter horizontal steel pipe railings align with the railings at each stair run, framed by 1-1/4 inch nominal diameter steel pipe vertical posts spaced at a maximum of 48 inches on center unless otherwise noted. Clear space between vertical posts remains less than 4 inches to meet code requirements, anchored above a 3/8 inch steel plate between stringers located at the stair riser line. All stair railing connections and intersections are welded and ground smooth.
