The assembly features a backdraft damper anchored to a steel embed plate cast into a tilt-wall pilaster. A two-by-three-inch steel angle is welded to the embed plate to provide a mounting surface. A two-by-two-inch steel angle is attached at the top and bottom to a horizontal two-by-two-inch hollow structural section member, which spans between vertical hollow structural section supports and the tilt-wall jamb. A three-inch clear bird screen is anchored to the steel angle framing at the edges using security fasteners. The backdraft damper is secured to the embedded steel using mechanical fasteners per the manufacturer's specifications.
