The assembly consists of a five-by-five-inch by three-sixteenths-inch steel tube column standing at a height of three feet six inches above the concrete floor slab. The top of the steel tube is finished with a welded top cap. The base of the column is welded to a twelve-by-twelve-inch by three-quarter-inch steel base plate. Four five-eighths-inch by four-and-a-half-inch wedge anchors secure the base plate into the concrete floor slab. The entire assembly is painted safety yellow per the drawing notes.
