This drywall bulkhead is constructed from three-and-five-eighths-inch metal studs faced with five-eighths-inch gypsum board and finished with metal edge trims at the corners. Plywood backing measuring five-eighths-inch is installed within the soffit to receive attached millwork. The assembly transitions adjacent to suspended acoustical ceiling tile systems on both sides, with bottom-of-ceiling heights referenced to the reflected ceiling plan.
