A cast-in-place concrete curb matches existing conditions, measuring six inches by six inches with a one-half inch typical radius at the top corner. The curb is reinforced with one number three bar top and bottom. A four-inch concrete slab on grade is reinforced with number three bars at twelve inches on center each way. Dowels of number three bars at twelve inches on center are drilled into the existing concrete and set in mastic with a twelve-inch minimum embedment into both existing and new concrete. The slab bears on a three-inch aggregate base adjacent to an existing concrete walk.
