A 4-inch concrete walk featuring a broom finish and 6x6 W1.4xW1.4 welded wire fabric is supported by a 2-inch compacted depth crushed rock base course compacted to 95 percent density. The sidewalk slopes between 1 percent minimum and 2 percent maximum, transitioning to a pulverized topsoil landscape area sloped to 2 inches below the top of the sidewalk. The integral raised curb stands 6 inches high with a 1-inch radius on the edge, featuring a tooled joint and adjacent pavement matching a 12-inch depth. Control joints are placed at a spacing equal to the sidewalk width, and expansion joints are provided at 28 to 30 feet on center maximum.
