A semi-recessed fire extinguisher cabinet is mounted within a framed wall assembly finished with double layers of five-eighths-inch Type X gypsum board on each side. The cabinet houses a 10-pound Class ABC dry chemical fire extinguisher and projects a maximum of three inches from the finished wall plane.
