A partition as scheduled receives duct penetrations via a metal sleeve passing through the wall opening, surrounded by one inch of safing batt insulation. Annular spaces are sealed with acoustical sealant and a foam backer rod. Maximum clearances are indicated as one-half inch for rated penetrations and three-quarters of an inch for unrated penetrations.
