Mechanical equipment sits atop a pre-formed metal curb filled with polyisocyanurate insulation and secured to continuous wood blocking. The wood blocking bears on a metal deck and steel beam roof assembly, with additional blocking provided as required. Curb flashing transitions down to the roof level, where single-ply roofing is sealed with a continuous sealant. A continuous cleat with twenty-four gauge flashing and a drip-lip is soldered at all corners, and neoprene washers and caulking are applied at all fasteners penetrating the flashing. Square head roofing nails are used typically across the wood blocking.
