A continuous 20 gauge 1 1/2-inch by 1 1/2-inch wall angle supports the gypsum board ceiling at the perimeter wall. The main runner is secured with a saddle tie using number 18 wire. The first hanger or tie is spaced at a maximum of 6 inches on each side from the perimeter.
