Flexible flashing, an ethylene propylene diene monomer sill plate gasket, and felt with sealant create a weather-resistant expansion joint at the transition to the exterior sidewalk. The interior floor features marmoleum flooring over a hydronic heating system, insulation, and a felt expansion joint. Sill anchors with countersunk fasteners secure the assembly to the concrete foundation.
