This interior wall assembly consists of cold-formed steel studs finished with a single layer of gypsum wallboard on one side and a sound attenuation blanket installed within the cavity. Dimensional clearances for the furred wall vary by stud depth, providing 3 1/8 inches for 2 1/2-inch studs, 4 1/4 inches for 3 5/8-inch studs, and 6 5/8 inches for 6-inch studs. The wall tag is placed in plan on the side of the wall with the gypsum wallboard layer.
