The recessed light fixture housing attaches directly to the structural metal deck above with supports. A four-inch metal framing system provides structural backing, supplemented by two-and-a-half-inch metal framing at the light recess itself. Pre-finished metal panel trim flashing frames the perimeter of the fixture. A half-inch sealant bead over a backer rod runs all around the perimeter for weather or moisture sealing.
