This assembly details a metal gate latch mechanism comprising a 1-1/2 inch by 4 inch by 18 gauge steel tube post with a capped end welded to the post. The system integrates open and closed position centering disks, 1/4 inch stainless steel plates, 3/4 inch stainless steel bars, 3/8 inch stainless steel threaded rods, and a 1/2 inch stainless steel rod. A 3/16 inch reinforcing plate is welded to the post, and a 1-1/4 inch diameter handle bar is painted to match the fence. The post is secured at finish grade by a 5/8 inch diameter inside diameter stainless steel pipe receiving sleeve with a bottom anchor plate, which is 1/4 inch thick and set in POR-ROCK. A double cylinder deadbolt Schlage B662P provides locking capability, alongside Section A, Section B, and Section C views showing the gate frame and handle bar configurations.
