A pipe penetration or support extends upward through a built-up roof assembly featuring two plies and a cap embedded in asphalt. A two-and-a-half-pound lead flashing sleeve is set with its base flange into roof cement over installed interply felt, requiring four-pound lead if field soldering is used. A stainless steel clamp with elastomeric sealant secures the sleeve to the pipe penetration. Roofing cement with a protective white-acrylic coating finishes the base flange. A continuous lead solder is used if a split lead sleeve is required, and all exposed roof cement applications receive a protective white acrylic coating with an eight-inch minimum height.
