A fire extinguisher cabinet is recessed into a framed metal stud partition with backing and framing sized per the partition type and subtype schedule. Metal stud blocking runs all around the rough opening to support the unit securely within the wall cavity. Fire stop sealant is applied at rated walls around the perimeter of the cabinet flange. An integrated fire protection layer is included in rated cabinets when installed within fire-rated walls.
