The cold-formed steel bottom track is secured to the floor slab using one-eighth inch diameter power-actuated fasteners spaced at twenty-four inches on center, with the first fastener located two inches from the partition end. The partition assembly consists of gypsum wallboard as scheduled on the plans or partition schedule. Non-formaldehyde acoustical sealant is applied at the base of the gypsum board on both sides of the partition where acoustical performance is required.
