This assembly details the waterproofing of a plumbing vent stack as it penetrates the roof deck. A flashing membrane is installed over the roof surface and extends up the vertical face of the vent stack. The top of the flashing is secured with a membrane cap that folds over the pipe rim. Sealant is applied at the base of the flashing flange where it meets the roof deck and at the transition points to ensure a watertight seal. The plumbing vent stack itself is sized per mechanical drawings.
