An air terminal rod mounts vertically to a base plate secured directly to a metal roof panel. A conductor cable runs along the roof surface, held in place by a mechanical clamp connected to the mounting assembly. Fasteners secure the base plate assembly through the roof panel. The lightning protection components integrate directly with the standing seam roofing profile.
