A 1.5-inch stainless steel round tube forms the foot rest, fitted with a stainless steel closure at the end. The tube is supported by a stainless steel saddle welded to a 1-inch tube. The 1-inch tube is welded to a base plate, which is supported by a 5/8-inch solid stainless steel round post welded to the plate. The assembly bears over carpeting laid on top of a cast-in-place concrete slab.
