An exterior insulation and finish system control joint mounts over metal stud walls with a 5/8-inch exterior gypsum sheathing having all joints sealed. A fluid-applied air and moisture barrier applies directly over the exterior sheathing. The joint incorporates an extruded silicone sheet positioned behind a backer rod and sealant, with color matched to the adjacent EIFS. Metal stud slip tracks accommodate movement at the control joint assembly. Interior finishes are sized per plans.
