This assembly details the connection of a three and five-eighths inch by eighteen gauge diagonal wall brace to a top track and overhead structure. The brace is installed at a forty-five degree angle and spaced at eight feet on center. The brace flange is clipped to form a shoe at both ends. The top connection offers two options: fastening with four screws into the lowest portion of the corrugated deck, ensuring the roofing is not penetrated, or attaching to the bottom chords of a joist. The bottom connection is secured with four screws into the top track of the non-bearing steel stud wall.
