A concrete track recess assembly at an asphalt concrete or concrete driveway features a trench with a 6-inch W steel channel embedded centrally with a 1 1/2-inch by 1 1/2-inch angle with Nelson anchor bolts at 24 inches on center and 6 inches from ends. Reinforcement consists of continuous number 4 bars on each side with number 4 bars 15 inches long at 24 inches on center, supplemented by number 4 bars at 24 inches on center across the top. Concrete paving transitions at the edges as specified per civil drawings over compacted subgrade.
