This wall section details a stone veneer system backed by two and one-half inches of rigid insulation, a weather barrier, and one layer of five-eighths-inch gypsum sheathing over cold-formed metal studs sized per plans. The interior finish consists of one layer of five-eighths-inch Type X gypsum board. The assembly interfaces at the top with a structural slab using scheduled sealant on both sides and runs past the line of the ceiling. Specified sealant is applied at joints, and an air space separates the stone from the backup wall.
