Two-inch board insulation is secured to a structural steel beam using ten gauge stainless steel capacitor discharge welded impalement pins spaced at a maximum of zero feet six inches. All board-to-board joints are taped to maintain the thermal barrier. A one-eighth to one-quarter inch gap is detailed between components as specified by structural requirements. The structural beam and deck profile are installed per structural drawings.
