An exterior steel stair intermediate landing features a painted galvanized steel channel for landing framing and stringer support, accompanied by an edge angle supporting metal decking at the landing with a slope of two percent maximum for drainage. Painted galvanized metal pan stair treads are filled with concrete and incorporate continuous waterproofing, with weeping provided at each stair pan and landing while ensuring waterproofing wraps into the weep without closing the hole. Each tread includes a two inch aluminum inset abrasive nosing with a contrasting stripe, extending the full width of the step per two thousand sixteen CBC section eleven B dash five zero four point four point one. A stair pan support bracket is installed as required, and all exposed metal at risers and underside of the stair is painted.
