The roof drain assembly integrates into a wood roof sheathing substrate with rigid insulation and a tapered drain sump. A reinforced waterproof membrane extends over the insulation and seals against the drain flange, supplemented by continuous sealant at the drain perimeter. The roof drain fixture is installed per the manufacturer's specifications. Tapered rigid insulation slopes toward the drain at a rate less than three inches to one horizontal foot.
