The steel stair stringer ties into a painted steel support angle anchored back to the structural concrete slab. Treads feature an edge nosing with a two-inch wide painted contrasting luminous striping, with seven-inch maximum risers and eleven-inch treads. A quarter-inch maximum gap between the stair landing and the concrete slab is sealed with grey sealant and backer rod. Anchors are provided as required by the stair contractor.
